I loved the book, so I was eager to see the movie, but I was disappointed

Christmas Eve in My Hometown, written by Stanley William Zabka and Donald UptonPerformed by Eddie Fisher (1951 recording). In the book, among the Oxford scholars, Caro learned that life is more than the education of man, God, and Jesus.

It was interesting and informative

The film is more about her relationship with the man she falls in love with. It gives one a good perspective on Oxford, which seems to have a culture, if anything, of its own, in 37 or 38 colleges.

I recommend the book to others

Admission was twice the price of a regular ticket and there could only be 4 people in the theater when I went. See the film for the setting.
