The Duttons faced new challenges in the early 20th century, including western expansion, prohibition, and the Great Depression. Although the Great Depression began in America in 1929, it began in Montana. The Great Depression began in Montana in 1918, about 10 years before the rest of the country. While the rest of America was prospering, Montana was struggling. Many farmers suffered greatly due to drought and the decline in demand for agricultural products caused by the end of the “Great War” (also known as World War I from 1914 to 1918). As a result, Montana farmers were unable to pay their war debts, which led to widespread bank failures throughout the state. Between 1921 and 1925, half of Montana farmers lost their land. By 1925, 70,000 of Montana’s 82,000 residents had left. In addition, 200 banks in Montana went bankrupt. Not only did the drought damage crops, but there was also a locust invasion and a cattle plague. After Yellowstone, it was the second, but still a similar feeling … I really enjoyed it, although I have to see something else, I feel like it could have been better (after Yellowstone it gets harder! ) But. But. But… At the end everything seems to have shifted from dead center, the side stories are adding up … and then it all ends – it is clearly set up for a second season – but – if it doesn’t, you wasted your time because the story will not end by the end of this first season. And there is currently no announcement or schedule for the second season … That’s what confuses me! It’s like going to a fancy restaurant and only having the side dish without the main course!!! What the hell… Come on producers…. Get your fingers out!!!!
