Korman Productions Deep Dive TV Podcast Mentions: Earth Abides on MGM+ Deep Dive Episode 1 "Alone" With Dave and Stacey (2024). As someone who read Earth Abides 20-25 years ago and remembers the book fondly, I was surprised to see it performed. Knowing that your visual expectations are hard to match to what you imagine when you read a movie or show.-With that in mind, I’m watching the first episode with a bit of bias but try this "new" Like the story "Dystopian/Post Apocalyptic" A welcome reminder of one of my favorite books in the genre.
Episode 1 successfully sets up a compelling story to honor Stewart
The book was written and set in the 1940s and the show is modernized so the technology and general "feel" The environment is different from the book. There is a place for a good post-Covid pandemic narrative where the pace is naturally fast and the first episode of a miniseries is particularly quick to match character development and the main episode. 39;s themes.

It invites fans of the book and new viewers alike to ponder humanity’s place in a changed world. So far the acting is good, the production and effects are decent, maybe a little on the sparse side (you expect car pileups etc.) The rest is expected..
